Cynthia and Jeff got married at their church in Capital Hill (Central Lutheran) and had the reception at Portage Bay Cafe in Queen Anne. Their ceremony was filled with so much love and laughter (and their flower girl was one of the cutest EVER). Thanks so much to Jeff and Cynthia for having us be a part of your wonderful celebration!
We photographed Cynthia and Jeff’s engagement session at Volunteer Park in Capital Hill. Bob and I got married at the Asian Art Museum there, so we always enjoy going back. There are so many photogenic spots– from the reservoir (and “doughnut sculpture”) to the water tower to the camel statues to the gardens.
Jeff and Cynthia were so cute together! Jeff had lost his wife a few years ago and Cynthia had never been married. He was so sweet and protective, and they were both very much in love. They practice Aikido together, and I suggested an Aikido engagement session, but they wanted to go the more traditional route. ;)
Much love to you both!
We had lots of fun photographing the Dance Marathon fundraiser again this year for 826Seattle at Nectar in Fremont (and I did it 8 months pregnant!). From the “dance lesson” in the beginning to the awarding of kooky prizes for “accomplishments,” it was an enjoyable and entertaining evening.
We were so happy to hear from Gretchen and Jeremy, whose wedding we photographed in 2008 (blog link). Such a cute couple, they wanted some family pictures, preferably with fall colors. I love the Arboretum in the Autumn, so I suggested we go there. They were great fun, and the rain started right after we had finished the last picture– perfect timing!
